Last updated 28 September 2026

In short: Mellodeo is run by Paarth Madan, an individual based in India. You pay $9 a month or $72 a year for Pro, you can cancel anytime, and you can get a full refund within 14 days. Lessons are generated with AI and can contain mistakes.

Who we are

Mellodeo is run by Paarth Madan, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you use mellodeo.com and the Mellodeo app (together, "Mellodeo"). By using Mellodeo you agree to them.

What Mellodeo does

Mellodeo generates music lessons for songs you name. It uses an AI model to work out a song's key and chords, and our own software to choose chord shapes, capo positions and teaching order. Lessons are for personal learning.

Your account

You're responsible for the email address you give us and for keeping access to it. You must be at least 13 to use Mellodeo, and have a parent or guardian's permission if you're under 18.

Mellodeo Pro and payment

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from the link in your receipt email or by writing to hello@mellodeo.com. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Refunds

You can get a full refund of any payment within 14 days of being charged. See the refund policy for details.

Lesson accuracy

Lessons are generated automatically and may contain mistakes, such as a wrong chord or key. We check lessons with our own software before you see them, but we can't guarantee they're correct. Tell us when something sounds wrong and we'll work to fix it.

Songs and copyright

Mellodeo does not play or distribute original recordings. You hear our own arrangement, played by a sampled instrument. Song titles and artist names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the song you want to learn. Don't use Mellodeo to copy, publish or sell lessons commercially.

Acceptable use

Don't try to break, overload, scrape or resell Mellodeo, get around payment, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our content

The Mellodeo software, design and lesson format belong to us. You may use the lessons we generate for your own practice.

Liability

Mellodeo is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you more protection, those protections still apply.
